Projects: Southeast

One of several projects in Skagway, AK is mentioned here to demonstrate the ability of GTA’s direct-push equipment to operate in difficult subsurface environments. The Scope of Work for this project required the delineation of contamination and the acquisition of soil and groundwater samples in soils with large cobbles. GTA used direct detection to identify the contamination and direct-push to successfully acquire the soil and groundwater samples. This project also exemplifies the ability of GTA to provide considerable site assessment data with one mobilization and for on-site decisions to be made to optimize the acquisition of the data.
