The principal partners founded the Alaska office in Anchorage in 2002, serving the entire state. In 2008, the Hawaii office was established to serve Hawaii and the Pacific Rim. GeoTek Companies are incorporated, owner-operated organizations with over 50 full-time employees.
GeoTek is a subsurface investigation company that provides services for the geotechnical, environmental, and construction communities. GeoTek provides geophysical applications for non-intrusive subsurface investigations and drilling machines for extracting high-quality soil, groundwater, and rock samples in a safe and efficient manner using direct push, rotary (air or mud), and down hole hammer methods. GeoTek uses industry-leading equipment (i.e. Geoprobe and CME drill machines) and is considered the leader in the use of direct-push technology (DPT) throughout Alaska.
For the environmental community, GeoTek provides direct-push and drilling services. These services include soil, groundwater, soil gas sampling, and monitoring well installation for environmental applications. In addition, GeoTek offers real time, in-situ detection of subsurface environmental contamination, and field screening analysis capabilities for soils, groundwater, and soil gas samples using Gas Chromatographs, that complement our direct-push capabilities. GeoTek offers Ultraviolet Optical Screen Tool (UVOST®) for delineation of petroleum products as another environmental application.
For the geotechnical community, GeoTek performs a variety of geotechnical drilling applications for the engineering community that includes, but is not limited to, Soil Sampling, Rock Core Sampling, Seismic Cone Penetrometer Testing (SCPT), and Standard Penetration Testing (SPT/Blow Counts), Air/Mud Rotary applications and Down Hole Hammer (DTH).
Additionally, GeoTek is a full service geophysical consulting service providing acquisition, processing, and interpretation of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electromagnetic (EM), Magnetic, and Seismic data.
These capabilities constitute the core of the company’s offered services. GeoTek maintains a commitment to safe operations while delivering a high-quality sample in an efficient manner. GeoTek strives to deliver a professional quality service to our clients with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and competitive rates.
